Respalda mi espalda comenzó como una campaña de recaudación de fondos, para poder tratar la Siringomielia de María José Beltrán con una cirugía que le ayudaría a mejorar su calidad de vida. Gracias a la ayuda de todos los que la apoyaron, llegamos a la meta y la cirugía se llevó acabo el 31 de mayo del 2019 en Cleveland Clinic.

Pero no se podía quedar solo ahí, así que hoy a 1 año de la cirugía lanzamos Respalda mi espalda 2.0 donde se convierte en una campaña social de información y concientización para todas las personas que padecen Siringomielia y sus seres queridos.

Queremos crear una comunidad unida y de apoyo para nunca más sentirnos solos en el camino de adaptación a esta enfermedad, ya sea que acabas de ser diagnosticado o lleves años con ella, la meta es crear una FAMILIA unida por la misma enfermedad para hacerla más llevadera y mejorar nuestra calidad de vida con ayuda de todos los que somos parte de esta campaña.

«Respalda mi espalda» («Support my back») It started as a fundraising campaign, in order to treat María José Beltrán’s Syringomyelia with a surgery that would help her improve her quality of life. Thanks to the help of everyone who supported her, we reached the goal and the surgery took place on May 31, 2019 at Cleveland Clinic.

This story could not be left behind, it had to be use for helping others. So today, 1 year after surgery, we launched «Respalda mi espalda 2.0» («Support my back 2.0») where it becomes a social information and awareness campaign for all people with Syringomyelia and their loved ones

We want to create a united and supportive community so that we never feel alone on the path of adaptation to this disease, whether you have just been diagnosed or have been with it for years, the goal is to create a FAMILY united by the same disease to make it more bearable and improve our quality of life with the help of all of us who are part of this campaign.
